Director's message

Behind every great institution is a story. For Kings Way Schools, that story begins with a 14-year-old boy walking 65 kilometers on foot. In April 1976, as a Senior One student at St. John Bosco Seminary Secondary School in Hoima, Hon. Josephat faced a challenge that would define his life’s mission. With no money for transport and no means of communication, he had no option but to walk from Hoima back to his home in Igayaza — a journey of 65 kilometers. The journey took him through forests, valleys, and hills, including the vast Bugoma Forest. It was long. It was frightening. It was exhausting. But it was also transformative. At the time, Hoima was the nearest town offering secondary education. Many of his peers simply dropped out because the distance and costs were unbearable. Education was not denied by lack of intelligence it was denied by lack of access.

As he walked through the wilderness, a vision was born in his heart: One day, I will build a school in my community so that children will not have to suffer like I did. That promise made at the age of 14 became the seed of Kings Way Schools. Hon. Josephat’s leadership is rooted in lived experience. He understands what it means to struggle for education. He understands the pain of talented children being left behind because of poverty or distance. And because of that understanding, Kings Way Schools were never designed to be profit-driven enterprises. They were designed as solutions.

The vision has always been clear: keep school fees affordable, keep standards high, and keep the doors open to every child willing to learn. Under his guidance, Kings Way Schools have grown from a bold idea into institutions that have impacted over 10,000 lives. Yet despite this growth, the founding purpose remains unchanged to serve the community. Beyond academics, our pupils participate actively in sports, music, dance, and drama. Our playground is more than just a field it is a training ground for teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

These co-curricular activities build confidence and allow children to discover their unique talents. Our facilities are designed to support uninterrupted learning. With constant water supply, reliable electricity, solar backup systems, and a standby generator, learning continues regardless of external challenges. Parents choose Kings Way Primary School because they want more than education — they want transformation. They want a school that partners with them in shaping responsible, disciplined, and ambitious children. At Kings Way Primary School, we lay the foundation not only for secondary school success but for lifelong excellence.
